Landscape Operations Manager

As Landscape Operations Manager, you will oversee day-to-day landscape construction operations and ensure project delivery meets the highest standards of quality, efficiency, and safety. You’ll supervise and mentor teams, manage budgets and schedules, and foster innovation in processes.

You’ll be a vital leader, working across field operations, project management, and procurement to ensure seamless coordination and top-tier results.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Leadership & Team Development

-Schedule and guide softscape, hardscape, and irrigation crews.

-Collaborate with Project Superintendents to set and achieve goals, improve workflows, and maintain efficiency.

-Plan, coordinate, and oversee all landscape construction operations to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to quality standards.

-Motivate and inspire teams to perform at their best while fostering a collaborative environment.

Operational Excellence

-Develop and execute production schedules to ensure timely project completion.

-Address challenges proactively, working with superintendents and foremen to implement effective solutions.

-Continuously refine processes to improve productivity and maintain high-quality standards.

Budget & Resource Management

-Review and understand project submittals and purchase orders to ensure that the correct products are being sourced and installed.

-Work with suppliers and project managers to coordinate delivery of materials.

Safety & Compliance

-Safety First: Champion a culture of safety by enforcing compliance with all safety standards on-site.

-Conduct routine safety checks to ensure company and local safety standards are strictly maintained.

-Identify hazards and lead by example in maintaining a safe and compliant work environment.

Effective Communication

-Maintain clear, open communication with field teams, project management, and general contractors.

-Identify and resolve issues quickly while fostering transparency and collaboration.

-Leverage a working knowledge of contracts to align operations with client and organizational expectations.

QUALIFICATIONS

A degree in landscape, construction management, business, or related fields—or equivalent industry experience.

5+ years of experience in the construction or landscaping industry and 2+ years of management experience.

Proven ability to lead and manage cross-functional teams.

Proficiency in MS Office Suite and tools like PlanGrid; familiarity with mobile applications for project management.

Exceptional organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

A commitment to fostering teamwork, continuous improvement, and accountability.

Strong communication skills with the ability to navigate fast-paced environments.

A strategic thinker with a hands-on approach to leadership.

Fluent in operations best practices, with a focus on systems optimization.
